Our condolences to Dee and the Rodman family. Kenny was an outstanding athlete and a nice guy with a very calm demeanor. It was always a pleasure to see him at chicken BBQ's and the reunion and talk to him. I (Don) saw him play in dozens and dozens of high school and town team baseball games (26 years in town team baseball) and what a great player!

GEORGETOWN VS. ONEIDA, AUGUST, 1973 A final sliver of August caught us Held us in amber light. Dooley Rodman Edged off third, Sammy Campbell Crouched at the plate: Madison County League Championship game, Extra innings at dusk. As if the whole scene Was submerged in a lake of honey, The ball floated to Sammy’s bat, Trickled moundward. Dooley Rodman, head down, Legs, a dusty blur Dove for home. The throw, the slide, The tag All in dream silence, Muted light. The Georgetown Volunteers, My team, Danced The bird hop dance, Hovered Homeward. The faces of youth wrapped in gold, lightly dancing, lightly dancing the dance of the butterfly, music of summer. The umpire bent forward from the waist, Hands, palms down, swept out Away from his sides: SAFE – SAFE- SAFE!! Mike Rainnie
